For the last 6 years we sailed in the Bahamas and the Keys. This year we just got back from a trip to Key West and then on to Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and returned. We had zero boat problems. We always run our engine when under sail. That gives us an average speed of 8.5 mph. From Key West to Guatemala we used 105 gallons of fuel and still had 30 gallons left in the tank when we refueled. Also, from Key West to Mexico took us only 2 days. The average sailboat takes 3 ½ days. We shortened the mast by 10 feet last year. Not only did we not loose any performance, we made a much stronger rig, and much less rolling at anchor. Now there is no need to reef sails in heavy seas. We also installed a solid handrail around the entire boat. This is a great safety feature and we noticed new sailboats are going with solid rails. We are completely self-contained. We have a 30 gph water maker that makes high quality R. O. drinking water, a large refrigerator/freezer and alternator. Running the engine ½ hour a day charges the large battery banks, freezes the freezer and makes plenty of water. All electronics are included as are chart books of East Coast, Bahamas, Eastern Caribbean. Lastly everything on this boat works and we will be glad to teach the buyer anything they need to know about cruising. This boat is set up perfect for a safe-comfortable live-a-board. When it rains you never get wet. The enclosure makes a waterproof cabin. Large cushions for comfort. Everything needed for cruising is included. We have been in “Latitudes and Attitudes” Magazine several times and our latest Guatemala trip is featured on page 82 & 83 in the May 08 issue. We love this boat, but illness forces us to sell it. It is truly in perfect condition and ready to go condition, located in Myrtle Beach, SC.
